TALON SMITH
Talon Smith is a high-performance coach, business owner, and elite endurance athlete committed to developing resilient, capable individuals both physically and mentally. As Co-Owner of FTX, Talon operates at the intersection of performance training, leadership, and human optimization—bringing a disciplined, results-driven approach shaped by years of service, competition, and clinical experience.

Antonio Basalo
Antonio Basalo is a martial artist, amateur fighter, and dedicated practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Pekiti Tirsia Kali who brings over a decade of hybrid training experience to his coaching. Having started as a member in 2013, he understands firsthand what it takes to get results within the program. He specializes in functional fitness as the foundation for long-term physical performance and mental resilience, operating from a mindset of “I get to do this,” which drives consistency and progression. Antonio has a proven track record of helping athletes not just reach their goals, but exceed them—whether they are returning to fitness, maintaining peak condition, or preparing for HYROX. His approach is precise, structured, and performance-driven, built to develop strength, durability, and longevity at every level.

Jennifer Smith
Jennifer’s journey is one of real transformation, and like all of our coaches, she started as a client—living the process before leading others through it. After experiencing a major life change, she developed a deep passion for helping others create that same shift in their own lives. She brings energy, empathy, and intention into every session, building genuine connections with athletes and guiding them toward their goals with consistency and care. As a mom of three, Jennifer understands the demands of balancing family, life, and fitness, and she leads by example—showing that progress is possible with the right structure, support, and mindset.

Jay Marwan
Jay, like many of our coaches, started as a member—so he understands firsthand what it takes to progress through the program and get real results. With a deep athletic background, including induction into the Aledo High School Hall of Fame for soccer, Jay brings both high-level experience and competitive discipline to his coaching. He has competed in multiple CrossFit Quarterfinals, earned 2nd place at the Texas State Olympic Weightlifting Championships, and placed 5th at the U.S. National Championships in 2018. Beyond his credentials, what sets Jay apart is his ability to coach—he has a sharp eye for detail, knows how to meet athletes where they are, and consistently drives progress through structured, intentional training. His passion for helping people shows in how he leads, develops, and elevates every athlete he works with.
Ethan Mills
Ethan has been part of the gym since he was just 16 years old, developing within the program before stepping into a coaching role at 18. That foundation gives him a unique edge—he understands exactly what it takes to grow, improve, and perform at a high level. As a competitor, he’s qualified for multiple CrossFit Quarterfinals and has won the Texas State Olympic Weightlifting Championships, showcasing both strength and discipline. Ethan brings that same work ethic and intensity into his coaching, holding athletes to a high standard while giving them the tools and structure to rise to it. He leads by example and knows how to push people to unlock levels they didn’t think were possible.
